EQT REC Center is a project of The Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation, a registered non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to provide the community compassionate and caring outreach programs with an emphasis toward healthcare. EQT REC Center is named in recognition of EQT Corp., the project’s naming sponsor. An $8 million project, EQT REC Center was built with the financial support of local businesses, grant funding, and community members who recognized the importance of investing in the health of Greene County. EQT REC Center is the latest effort by members of the GCMHF Board of Directors to facilitate better health and well-being for the resident of Greene County.
Over the past 11 years, the Foundation has also funded technology upgrades to local fire companies and emergency medical services, sponsored scholarships and tuition assistance programs for as many as eight individuals per year, and invested time and funding to improve the delivery of healthcare services to our region.
The Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation and its supporters built EQT REC Center to meet a need for recreational sports and fitness facilities in Greene County. The $8 million, 60,000-square-foot recreation and fitness center’s focus is providing a positive impact on the local economy, while bringing together local neighbors for Recreation, Education, and Community.
